Hello again. ZOMG ANOTHER SUBMISSION!!111one

I've been slaving over this for two hours every week since November of last year...took me so friggin' long. >>;; This is my entry for a local art contest (Young At Art); last year I entered my "Spring's Messenger" piece. I found that almost all the winners had huge pieces...so I jumped on the bandwagon and painted a big oil piece.

This is oil on canvas, 20inches x 28inches.

...I'm still not used to oil. o__o It takes so long to dry and I have no patience. Argh. And I wonder why I fail at art. x__X I NEED PATIENCE.

This was a big step for me since I've never painted people in oil people...and I've never painted anything without a reference before. o___o;; For this piece, all I had were bits and scraps of papers with references to candlesticks and blurry screenshots of the woman's face. So I guess...it didn't turn out THAT bad.
